International Mentorship Program
The International Mentorship Program pairs new international students with continuing students for support as students transition to life in Canada and RDP.
New international students ("Mentees") will be paired with continuing RDP students ("Mentors") based on similar programs and/or interests.
For Mentors
To be eligible to volunteer as a Mentor, students must:
Be a current RDP student (domestic or international)
Have completed a minimum of one term of study at RDP
Be in good academic standing (Minimum GPA of 2.0)
Be able to commit 20 hours per academic year (1 year commitment)
Students interested in volunteering as a Mentor must complete an application form
Mentors will be selected based on availability, fit and commitment to the program
Be A Mentor
Learn about other cultures by meeting students from diverse backgrounds
Develop valuable intercultural communication, leadership and event-planning skills
Receive a letter of reference from RDP International and a co-curricular record on your official transcript
with a minimum of 20 hours per academic year
