RDP stands apart from other polytechnics because of our breadth and character of programming. Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Education programs alongside a strong program mix in Skilled Trades, Sciences, Health Sciences, Technology and Business.

Education and training at RDP is fundamentally applied, skills based and integrated with industry needs. For students, experiential learning, technology integration and applied research opportunities complement teaching from industry experts in innovative facilities.

Our post-secondary institution has a strong 60-year history.

First, as Red Deer Junior College. Then, Red Deer College. Now, we're excited about our bold future as Red Deer Polytechnic.

We are proud of our roots in central Alberta. And as a polytechnic institution, we're ready for our future.

Our Campuses and Facilities

Red Deer Polytechnic is located in Alberta, Canada.

We provide training, education and applied research opportunities at RDP's main campus and at a downtown campus located in the heart of our city's business community.

4,100 photovoltaic solar panels have been installed on buildings across Red Deer Polytechnic’s main campus. In combination with the 1 MW combined heat and power unit, RDP is making tremendous strides to harness alternative energy.
