  • Follow any illness-reporting protocols that each of your instructors has established and shared for your courses, labs and seminars.
  • If your instructor is ill, they will either:
    • Move the class online (if possible) if they are symptomatic but well enough to teach, OR
    • Cancel class, if they are unwell.
  • Information about class cancellations will be posted on your classroom door and also shared as a message through BlackBoard.
Final Exams & Course Completion

If you are unwell when you have a final examination scheduled, you can apply for a Deferred Final Examination, as identified in the Final Examinations Policy. Students should submit completed forms with medical documentation to admissions@rdpolytech.ca. You will receive an email to your RDP email address with further information.

If you cannot complete your courses as a result of illness, you can apply for a late drop. A late drop does require documentation that you are ill. The Late Drop Request should be submitted to admissions@rdpolytech.ca
