Biography

Stacey is a Learning Designer and the Chair of the Centre of Teaching, Learning and Scholarship (CTLS).  

With over three decades of dedicated teaching experience, Stacey brings a wealth of expertise to the CTLS. Prior to his 22-year tenure at RDP, he spent a decade as a high school technology educator.  

Moreover, Stacey's tenure as a co-owner of a software development company was marked by the creation of pioneering educational software. Their team developed interactive tools designed to educate individuals about innovative farming techniques, exemplifying a commitment to leveraging technology for agricultural education. This experience underscores Stacey's dedication to merging technology with diverse educational domains. 

An alumnus of Brandon University with a Bachelor of Education, Stacey furthered his credentials with a Certified Vocational Teacher designation from Red River College in Microcomputers. Additionally, he pursued advanced coursework at the University of Southern Queensland. 

Currently serving as the Chair of the Centre of Teaching, Learning and Scholarship, Stacey's areas of experience include a rich background in technology education, curriculum development, online course development, and learning space design. 

Stacey's primary teaching areas include designing, developing, and delivering online and blended courses, curriculum development and redevelopment, creating and renewing learning spaces, and designing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
