Biography

Liz started her nursing career in northern Alberta in 1990 after graduating from her diploma program at the Royal Alexandra Hospitals School of Nursing. Northern Alberta offered amazing experience in maternity, pediatrics, emergency nursing and medicine and surgery. After moving to Three Hills in 1997 her experience in rural nursing only grew in Three Hills on the acute care unit. In 2014 she completed her University of Alberta bachelor’s degree at Red Deer college while continuing to work in Three Hills.  For the past ten years she has been working in rural home care and transition services. She has also worked as a nurse manager and picked up casual work in corrections.

Liz is passionate about rural nursing and the autonomy it offers and wide knowledge base it requires to be successful. She is excited to be stepping into a teaching role.
