Biography

Laurel Corbiere joined the Executive Leadership Team of Red Deer Polytechnic in September 2018. As Chief of Staff and Board Liaison, Laurel reports to the President and provides leadership and operations management to the President’s Office, Board of Governors and the Executive Leadership Team.

Laurel is a Governance Systems Professional (GSP), a designation which recognizes advanced learning of Policy Governance, a model used by the Red Deer Polytechnic Board of Governors.

She has more than 20 years of administration and leadership experience within post-secondary education. This includes progressive career experience at the University of Lethbridge and SAIT.

Growing up in central Alberta, Laurel attended Red Deer Polytechnic prior to transferring to the University of Calgary to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies and later, a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Laurel has worked in private industry, not-for-profit and large public sector environments.
