Jan Cinnamon
Biography
Jan is an alumna of Red Deer Polytechnic. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998 and then moved to Calgary to start her nursing career. Jan worked in neurology and step-down CCU in Calgary before moving back to Red Deer to work in ICU and emergency. After starting her family, they moved to a small town where she pursued rural nursing which she considers the Jack of all trades and worked in ER, OR, LDR and acute care.
She transitioned to nursing education in 2018 and although Emergency Nursing has been her passion, teaching is an equal rival. Jan started teaching with RDP in the Fall of 2022 and is currently the Prairie Lead in Three Hills, AB through the Prairie College and RDP collaborative PN program.
