Guy Pelletier
Biography
Guy Pelletier is Chair of the Red Deer Polytechnic Board of Governors.
Guy has a long history with Red Deer Polytechnic dating back to 1987 when he graduated with a Business Administration diploma. After completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Calgary, he returned to RDP as an employee. Guy continued his connection to the institution in a volunteer capacity after moving to the private sector in 1996. He served on a variety of committees with the Alumni Association, the Foundation and two terms on the Board of Governors.
Guy works as the Vice President of the Red Deer Region for Melcor Developments. Melcor has been an active residential and commercial real estate developer in central Alberta for over 40 years. He has a strong belief in the immense value of education in all forms. He served two terms (one as Board Chair) as a Trustee for Red Deer Catholic Schools. Guy is a committed community volunteer having served on many Boards and Committees – most recently as a Board member for the 2019 Canada Winter Games held in Red Deer.
Guy shares his love of Red Deer with his wife Lee Ann. Together they have three children – one in high school and two attending university.
