David Pye

Biography

David Pye is Dean of the School of Trades and Technology at Red Deer Polytechnic. 

His career highlights include more than 15 years of trade industry experience and 17 years of academic leadership at Red Deer Polytechnic. 

David's career started at RDP as a Heavy Equipment Technician Sessional Instructor in 2006. His impact has evolved during nearly two decades. As an example, during Pye’s career at the Polytechnic, the institution's apprentices continue to excel at both the Skills Canada Alberta and Skills Canada National Competitions. Since 2003, RDP apprentices have earned 79 medals provincially and nationally.
