safeTALK Workshop
safeTALK is a half-day training in suicide alertness, through the Center for Suicide Prevention, teaching participants how to be more alert to someone thinking of suicide and better able to connect them with further help.
The workshop emphasizes the importance of recognizing the signs, communicating with the person considering suicide and getting help or resources for the person contemplating suicide.
Participants don’t need any formal preparation to attend the training—anyone age 15 or older who wants to make a difference can learn the safeTALK steps.
