Keith has had the opportunity to be involved in sport at every level with the highlight of being a coach at the professional and national team level.

As an instructor, coach and administrator at Red Deer Polytechnic Keith’s philosophy revolves around “The best way to learn is to do; the worst way to teach is to talk.” – Paul Halmos

This quote is at the heart of his teaching philosophy. In class, he tries to make the content “come alive” with the hope that it relates to the student. His goal is to help the student engage in their own learning and ignite a passion for “knowing more”. In order for this to happen they need to have fun in class and engage in activity and conversation. A successful class, in his mind, challenges the students to think and open their minds to different possibilities and opinions. Keith loves to tell stories that entertain the students (at least he hopes they are entertaining) while getting them to understand concepts in real world situations.
