Kalista Kohlman

Biography

Kalista has always had a love for learning. She began her post-secondary education with a degree in Political Science from the University of Calgary. Upon the completion of her first degree, Kalista decided that she wanted to share her love of learning with others and chose to pursue a degree in Education from the University of Alberta.

Kalista is a strong believer in making education accessible. Before joining Red Deer Polytechnic in 2019, Kalista coordinated a free math tutoring program for low-income students in Calgary. As an instructor in the Academic Upgrading department, Kalista is passionate about helping students build their confidence in academics which she believes can help them have confidence in life more generally.

Kalista’s main teaching specialty is Mathematics. She enjoys Mathematics and sees elegance in the logic of the subject.
