Biography

Mandeep Parmar is Director, Campus Management, at Red Deer Polytechnic.

Mandeep Parmar stands out as a seasoned Professional Engineer and Executive Manager, boasting over 20 years of diversified experience spanning the private, public, and municipal sectors. His expertise lies in operational excellence and sustainability, underscored by his impressive portfolio of completing more than 4000 construction projects. These projects encompass a broad range of areas including buildings, facilities, land development, utility installations, and alternative energy initiatives.

Mandeep's responsibilities extend to the comprehensive operational oversight of 2 million square feet of campus spaces. This includes managing maintenance and cleaning contracts, overseeing grounds keeping, parking services, the campus bookstore, and food services. His leadership not only covers operational aspects but also extends to greenfield and brownfield projects. Under his guidance, his team efficiently handles space planning, repurposing of spaces, and spearheading sustainability initiatives for the institution.

He holds an Undergraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Business Administration, both from the prestigious University of Alberta. Currently, he is further advancing his expertise by pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at the University of Calgary. His academic research during this doctoral pursuit focuses on Sustainable Development Goals and Alternative Energy projects in institutional settings, reflecting his commitment to sustainability in his professional and academic endeavors.
